Trinity Road Riders is the Portland area chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists Association
(CMA). Trinity was formed in 1978 and was the third chapter in the country to receive
its CMA charter. In 1990, we became an AMA chartered club. Click here for some history
of our chapter.
The members of Trinity are a diverse group of people from different church affiliations. We ride cruisers, touring bikes, and sport bikes; Hondas to Harleys; and enjoy day rides to long distance tours. However, the two things that we all share are the love of our personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and our enjoyment of motorcycling.
Trinity is involved in many ministries and events in the Portland area, but we may best be known for the annual Polar Bear Run on New Year’s Day.
The Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) is a non-profit interdenominational
Christian organization, dedicated to reaching people for Christ on the highways and
byways through motorcycling. Since it’s beginning in the mid 1970s, CMA has had over
136,000 applications for membership and over 1000 chapters chartered in the United
States. Also, through the CMA International Ministry, CMA is represented in other
countries throughout the world.
CMA is not a club, but a ministry. CMA’s ministry team program is designed to make ministers of its members.
We are involved in taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the motorcycling community and into America’s prisons. Our Seasons of Refreshing Conferences, conducted by CMA staff evangelists each Spring, prepare our members for ministry in the coming rally and riding season.
CMA also has state, national, and regional rallies. These
rallies are times of fellowship, praise and worship, fun bike
games, and encouragement.

The mission of the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) is to promote the motorcycle
lifestyle and protect the future of motorcycling. As the world's largest motorcycling
organization, the AMA advocates for motorcyclists' interests in the halls of local,
state and federal government, the committees of international governing organizations,
and the court of public opinion. The AMA is everything motorcycle.
Through member clubs, promoters and partners, the AMA sanctions more motorsports competition and motorcycle recreational events than any other organization in the world. Trinity is a member club in AMA District 28.
